Welcome

Chastity Kayutak Olemaun
June 2018

Chastity was born and raised in Utqiaġvik by her parents George and Pauline Olemaun. Her grandparents are *Nathaniel Olemaun, Sr., *Ethel Kuutuuq Olemaun (first wife) and Vera Olemaun (second wife) on her father’s side and *Eben Hopson, Sr. and *Rebecca Panigeo Hopson on her mother’s side. Upon graduating Barrow High School, she attended University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) where she received her Associate’s degree.

In 2006, she started working for ASRC Energy Services (AES) engineering department as an intern and worked her way up to become the office manager/executive assistant. During those years, she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Charter College’s online program. She worked for AES engineering for 10 years when she moved over to AES Support Services as a Technical Writer and within a year was promoted to Communications Support Specialist. Earlier this month, she received a graduate certificate from Alaska Pacific University in the Alaska Native Executive Leadership Program.

After 11 years of commitment to AES, she decided it was time to pursue her passions of assisting the North Slope villages' direct capacity. Chastity, who prefers her Inupiaq name, Kayutak, is delighted and humbled to work with Arctic Slope Community Foundation as the Philanthropy Officer to strengthen our culture of giving and improve the quality of life among the people of the Arctic Slope.

We here at the Arctic Slope Community Foundation are very excited and thrilled to have Kayutak on board and look forward to you meeting her.  Please join me in welcoming her aboard.
