Jacob Anaġi Adams
Jacob Adams is Vice president of the Arctic Slope Community Foundation Board of Directors. He is the son of Baxter and Rebecca Adams of Barrow.
Mr. Adams served as the President and CEO of ASRC over 20 years and as Chairman of the ASRC board of directors. He is a longtime member of the Barrow Whaling Captains Association and the Barrow Volunteer Search and Rescue. He has actively supported the Native sobriety movement, beginning with the creation of the Alaska Native Blue Ribbon Commission in the late 1980’s. Jacob has also been deeply involved with eradicating illegal drugs on the North Slope. He is the whaling captain of Anaġi Crew.
Jacob and his wife, Lucille, have six children and several grandchildren.
