Heather Qannik Dingman is the Development Officer for the Arctic Slope Community Foundation. She is the daughter of Joseph Dingman Sr and the late Elizabeth Mongoyak Dingman. She was born and raised in Utqiagvik, Alaska, graduated from Barrow High School and continued her education at the University of Alaska Fairbanks where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with Leadership Honors. Within the past 10 years Heather has worked for the North Slope Borough and the Arctic Slope Regional Corporation in various capacities serving the needs of the Arctic Slope communities. Although Heather is skilled and educated in organizational development, her passion for aviation is undeniable. Heather has earned her commercial pilots license for rotorcraft from Hillsboro Aero Academy and later received her Certified Flight Instructor certificate from Tanalian Aviation. Subsistence hunting is also a high priority for Heather, and every spring and fall you can find Heather helping with Aaluk whaling crew in Utqiagvik, Alaska. She enjoys eating her traditional Inupiaq foods and spending time with her daughter Kaya.
